Diversity and Flexibility
The network's goal is to identify and further examine career flexibility policies, programs, and structures in support of enhancing faculty diversity. In anticipation of the AAMC June 2015 meeting in Puerto Rico, the team will write an “ignite” session proposal and send it to the Group on Faculty Affairs (GFA) and the Group on Diversity and Inclusion (GDI).
Key Questions:
1. What are flexible career policies/ structures/ practices that you need to attract, retain, develop and sustain a diverse core of faculty?
2. Are there different needs for distinct diverse populations (e.g. Women, LGBTQ, disability, veterans, URM)
3. What does it take to build a true culture of inclusion in AMCs
Individuals who wish to participate in this learning network are encouraged to contact the convener.
